Troubleshooting Solo Network (Windows)

Can't find your Solo on the network? Follow these steps to access its shared data folder from Windows.

Step 1—Direct access via File Explorer

Open Windows File Explorer (Win+E) and type the following in the address bar:

\\aagsolo

This should locate the device and show the shared folder directly.

A Windows File Explorer address bar with \\aagsolo typed into it

Step 2—Map as a network drive

Once you see AAGSolo in the network, right-click on it and choose Map network drive. The folder to map is \\aagsolo\AAGSolo.

  • Enable Reconnect at logon so the mapping persists across reboots.
  • Enable Connect using different credentials.
  • When prompted, enter the credentials:
    Username: pi
    Password: cloudwatcher
Windows File Explorer showing the aagsolo network location with its three shares, AAGSolo, tmp and USBStick. AAGSolo is right-clicked and Map network drive is highlighted in the context menu.
Right-click AAGSolo—not tmp or USBStick—and choose Map network drive.
The Map Network Drive dialog with drive W: selected, the folder set to \\aagsolo\AAGSolo, and both Reconnect at logon and Connect using different credentials ticked.
Both boxes ticked, and the folder is the share itself: \\aagsolo\AAGSolo.

Step 3—Access shared data

Once mapped, the Solo's shared data folder appears at unit W: (or any other drive letter you choose). The CloudWatcher Windows software can then read the data from this path.

For remote access from outside your local network, see the Remote access guide (PDF) or the Zero Configuration Network page.
