Verifying the digital signature

All Lunatico software installers are digitally signed. A valid digital signature means the file was created by Lunatico and has not been modified since signing. These steps use the CloudWatcher installer as an example, but the process is identical for any Lunatico installer.

  1. Right-click the installer file and select Properties.
  2. Click the Digital Signatures tab.
  3. Select a signature in the list and click Details.
  4. In the Digital Signature Details window, click View Certificate to see full certificate information — the certificate should be issued to Lunatico Astro S.L.
  5. Click OK to confirm the signature is valid.
Step 1 — Windows lock icon on signed installer Step 1 — Right-click Properties on installer Step 2 — Digital Signatures tab in Properties
Step 3 — Digital Signature Details window Step 4 — View Certificate — issued to Lunatico Astro S.L.

If the Digital Signatures tab is absent, or if the verification reports a problem with the signature, do not install the file. Download the installer again directly from lunaticoastro.com and verify again.

Additional verification with VirusTotal

For additional peace of mind, you can upload any Lunatico installer to VirusTotal, which scans the file with over 70 antivirus engines simultaneously. A legitimate Lunatico file should receive a clean result from all major engines.

Always download from the official site: Download Lunatico software only from lunaticoastro.com or authorised distributors. If you receive a download link from an email or forum post, verify it points to lunaticoastro.com before downloading.
