Product Lifecycle Policy

At Lunaticoastro, we are committed to supporting our products for as long as reasonably possible. However, as technology evolves, some products may eventually reach the end of their commercial life due to component availability, operating system changes, software dependencies, or the introduction of newer solutions.

Product Lifecycle Stages

When this happens, products may enter one of the following stages:

Active

Fully supported and actively developed.

Legacy

No longer under active development, but documentation and downloads remain available.

End of Life

Manufacturing has ceased and only remaining stock may be available.

Discontinued

No longer manufactured or sold.

Legacy and End of Life Products

For products designated as Legacy or End of Life:

  • Existing documentation and software downloads will remain available whenever possible.
  • Compatibility with future versions of operating systems, ASCOM, INDI, drivers, or third-party software cannot be guaranteed.
  • New features and software updates are not planned unless required to correct critical issues.
  • Existing customers may continue to receive technical assistance on a best-effort basis. However, software updates, compatibility updates for future operating systems, and new feature development are not guaranteed for Legacy or End of Life products.
  • Availability of spare parts and repairs may vary depending on component availability.

Existing Customers

Products purchased before discontinuation may continue to operate normally with the software and operating systems supported at the time of purchase.

Customers are encouraged to retain copies of drivers, software installers, and documentation for long-term use.

Availability

Remaining stock of End of Life products may be sold while supplies last.

Availability of spare parts and repairs may vary depending on component availability.
