As of the current version, 2.4, it allows the user to specify a fully static IP address (not the safe, semi-static method in the normal configuration page), and to return it to its normal, DHCP-enabled state.

Use with care. A wrong IP address may render the unit invisible on the network. You may have to replace the SD card in that case.
