Since 2006, Lunaticoastro has been driven by a constant obsession: making astronomy more accessible, more reliable, and more enjoyable for amateur and professional astronomers worldwide. What started as a small personal project has grown into an international company with thousands of customers in more than 70 countries, two operational bases, and a global dealer network.
Today, Lunático is a recognised brand across all five continents, with our products operating every night in remote observatories, urban skies, and professional installations around the world.
Our Roots: Lunático Astronomía (Spain)
Founded in 2006, Lunático Astronomía was born in Spain with a very clear goal:
to design reliable and user-friendly solutions for remote observatories.
From our Spanish base, we have developed well-known products such as:
CloudWatcher
PocketCW
Dragonfly
Armadillo
ZeroDew
and a wide range of accessories that have become part of the daily workflow of many astronomers and automated observatories.
Lunaticoastro Pacific Ltd. (New Zeland)
In 2025, we took a decisive step forward with the launch of Lunaticoastro Pacific Ltd., our new base in New Zealand.
This strategic move allows us to:
provide direct support from the Southern Hemisphere,
improve shipping times across the Asia–Pacific region,
better serve distributors and customers in Oceania, Asia, and the Americas,
and strengthen our international innovation capacity.
With two coordinated bases, Lunático now operates globally, across hemispheres and time zones.
With our two locations working in coordination, we now cover the entire planet, from east to west and from north to south, distributing the tasks of manufacturing, electronic development, technical documentation and global customer service.
🇺🇸 Service Centre in the United States
Also in 2025, we opened our first Service Centre (SAT) in the United States, expanding our technical support capabilities in a country where our user community continues to grow.
This service centre enables us to:
handle local repairs,
reduce turnaround times,
simplify domestic shipping,
and offer closer, more responsive support to our US customers.
